Terms of use

Hygimap is provided by Cavalier Venues Oy, Finland. The web version at app.hygimap.com is sold through Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, which handles the payment, receipt, VAT and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.

The licence

The web licence is a one-time purchase for personal, non-commercial use. It is not a subscription and does not renew. It works in the browser where you bought it, and you can sign in other browsers and devices with a sign-in link sent to the email address you used for the purchase.

The data

Hygimap shows food hygiene inspection results published by public authorities: the Finnish Food Authority (Oiva), Fødevarestyrelsen, Mattilsynet, the Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland, Alim'confiance (French Ministry of Agriculture) and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Results are shown on each authority's own scale with the date of the inspection and of the data. Hygimap is not an official service of any authority. We update the data daily but cannot guarantee that it is complete or current; the authority's own publication is authoritative. Places in Denmark and Norway are located from their addresses, and some may be missing or misplaced.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If the service is discontinued within 12 months of your purchase, you can ask for a refund.

Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
