Location

You can use the map without your location. If you allow it, the server receives only a point rounded to about a hundred metres, used to fetch nearby places. It is not stored.

Purchase

The purchase page loads Paddle's checkout, so Paddle sees your IP address on that page. When you buy, Paddle acts as the seller and processes your payment and contact details as its own controller. After the purchase, a licence cookie containing only the transaction ID is stored in your browser; it is necessary to provide the service you bought. If you ask for a sign-in link, your email address is used to look up your purchase at Paddle, and the link is delivered by Resend (processor, United States, EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not store your email address.

Recipients

Vercel (hosting) acts as a processor, and its server logs are retained for one day; the transfer to the United States is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. CARTO (base map) sees your IP address and the map area you view and is its own controller for the map requests. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Legal basis and your rights

Processing is based on the contract (the licence) and on legitimate interest (providing the service). You have the right to access and erase your data and to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.
